This statistic represents the results of a survey in 2017 across eight cities in India about the exposure to accidents among drivers due to mobile use in the southern city of Bengaluru. A majority of drivers, about 66 percent responded that they had experienced a near-miss (accident) due to mobile phone use while walking or crossing the road.
