Share of public primary school student expenditure on tutoring in rural India 2018

According to a survey conducted in 2018, around 42.6 percent of public primary students in rural India spent 100 to 200 rupees monthly on private tuitions. More than 15 percent of public school students opted for private tutoring that same year.
