Crowd workers in Europe 2016, by country and gender This statistics represents the share of respondents that carried out crowd work in their country in Europe in 2016, by gender. Almost all countries had a majority of male crowd workers except the UK who had a total of 52 percent of female crowd workers. Crowd work is broadly defined as paid work managed via online platforms. This belongs to a part of the online economy that is also sometimes known as collaborative economy or gig economy.
