Export volume of petroleum products from India FY 2012-2022
The petroleum products exported from India amounted to approximately 40 million metric tons until November of the fiscal year 2022, down from about 57 million metric tons in the previous fiscal year. The south Asian country is the second largest refiner in Asia second only to China. Oil production in the country primarily came from the onshore states of Rajasthan, Gujarat, and Assam primarily. These states accounted for a share of over 96 percent of the total onshore production.
