Global graphite consumption distribution by type and end use 2019
Batteries accounted for an 18 percent share of the global use of flake graphite in 2019, and one percent of amorphous graphite. Refractories used the largest share of both flake and amorphous graphite worldwide that year, at 50 percent and 36 percent, respectively.
