Insurance policy purchases Japan FY 2000-2015, by sales channel The statistic displays the channels used to buy life insurance policies in Japan in fiscal years 2000 to 2015, broken down by sales channel. In the measured time period, insurance company sales personnel as sales channel decreased significantly from around 77.6 percent in 2000 to 59.4 percent in 2015. Whereas insurance agencies increased their share as sales channel from 8.8 percent to about 13.7 percent.
