Cinema admissions to domestic films in Spain 2000-2021
In 2021, movie theaters across Spain sold around 6.7 million tickets to Spanish films, down 1.5 percent from 6.8 million tickets a year earlier. The 2021 figure amounted to about 42 percent of the 15.9-million attendance recorded in 2019, before the coronavirus outbreak. The number of cinema admissions to foreign films in Spain grew by 73 percent in 2021.
