Number of film production companies in Spain in 2021, by autonomous community
In 2021, Spain was home to 402 film production companies, of which 124 (almost 31 percent) were in the Community of Madrid. Catalonia and Andalusia followed with 90 (22 percent) and 42 (10.5 percent) movie production companies, respectively. That same year, France, Argentina, and Mexico were Spain's leading partners in film co-productions.
