Share of people who believe most refugees are economic migrants in Belgium 2017
This statistic shows the outcome of the following survey question: ''Most foreigners who want to get into my country as a refugee really aren’t refugees. They just want to come here for economic reasons, or to take advantage of our welfare services''. As of 2017, roughly 30 percent of the Belgian respondents indicated that they very much agree that most foreigners are not refugees and come for economic reasons and to take advantage of their welfare services. Roughly 15 percent of the respondents, on the other hand, indicated that they very much disagree.
