In March 2021, the largest number of asylum applicants in Italy were from Nigeria. More specifically, Nigerian citizens submitted 500 requests in March. Moreover, 479 applicants were from Pakistan, the second most common nationality among asylum seekers over the last months. The total number of applications added up to 3,574.
