Electricity generation capacity in Mexico 2020-2022, by type of source
Fossil fuels accounted by far for the largest electricity generation capacity in Mexico, with over 70 percent in 2022. Renewable sources accounted for less than 30 percent of the country's power capacity that year, while nuclear contributed around one percent.
