According to the survey, 76 percent of respondents intended to vote for Sauli Niinistö. Sauli Niinistö, the incumbent president, won the election for the first time in 2012 as the candidate of the National Coalition Party. According to the opinion poll, another candidate reprising his candidacy, Pekka Haavisto (Green League), would receive 14 percent of the votes. The next presidential election in Finland will be held on January 28, 2018.
