Brazil: social media users who have accessed fake news 2021, by platform

According to a 2021 survey among social media users in Brazil, around 67 percent of respondents claimed to have encountered fake news via Facebook. WhatsApp was mentioned by other 62 percent of interviewees, while only 15 percent named its direct competitor Telegram as a platform where they had come across fake news content. Additionally, 35 percent of the survey respondents considered Facebook as their main social media for political information.
