Energy consumption for heating in Spanish households in 2020, by source
In 2020, the consumption of natural gas for heating in Spanish households amounted to roughly 1.6 million metric tons of oil equivalent. Natural gas was the second largest source of energy used for heating in the residential sector in Spain. Biomass was the largest source that year with a consumption of almost 1.8 million metric tons of oil equivalent.
