In 2020, approximately 21.8 thousand people died from lung cancer in Spain. The most affected age group by this type of cancer were those individuals between 65 and 74 years, with around 7.1 thousand deaths. By gender, most deaths due to this cancer type corresponded to men, accounting for about 5.6 thousand casualties, while approximately 1.5 thousand women within this age group died from lung cancer that year.
