Perception of own state of health in Brazil 2021, by age
In 2021, the share of adults who claimed to have a poor state of health reached around 4.7 percent in Brazil. This negative perception of their own health was higher among older segments of the population, particularly those aged 65 or more, with around 6.5 percent of respondents evaluating their health status as bad or very bad. Moreover, when asked how they would evaluate their health status, women assessed it worse than men in Brazil.
