Mexico: number of refugees 2010-2018

In 2018, there were approximately 16,485 refugees residing in Mexico, up from just over nine thousand reported one year earlier. The number of refugees hosted by the Latin American country has multiplied in the last few years, growing around 1,080 percent from 2010 to 2018. This is mainly due to the increasing number of Venezuelans migrating to Mexico.
