Number of refugees from Venezuela granted asylum in Mexico 2013-2021
In 2021, a total of 4,449 Venezuelan citizens were given permanent residence in Mexico by recognition of their refugee status. A year earlier, roughly 5,850 Venezuelan claimants were granted refugee status and were therefore legally considered permanent residents in Mexico.
