As of July 2023, movie theaters in the United States and Canada sold around 148.66 million tickets to films for which the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) suggested parental guidance, also known as PG movies. In 2022, 120.13 million tickets were sold, which was two times higher than the PG movie ticket sales in the year 2021, where 61.81 million tickets were sold.
