Italy: importance of public transport frequency by macro-region 2014 This statistic illustrates the importance of public transport frequency among the Italian population as of 2014, broken down by macro-region. According to the study, over 70 percent of respondents from the South and Islands believed that having access to a more frequent service would encourage them to use public transport at least two or three times a week. By contrast, the figure for the North West was 55 percent of respondents.
