CO2 emissions of all fuel new passenger cars in the European Union from 2000-2016 This statistic displays the average carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions from new passenger cars of all fuel types in the European Union (EU-28) from 2000 to 2016 in grams of carbon dioxide per kilometer (g CO2/km). It shows that emissions of carbon dioxide have been steadily decreasing on average, dropping from 172.2 g CO2/km to 118.1 g CO2/km.
