Global transportation sector CO₂ emissions shares 2022, by major economy
The United States accounted for almost a quarter of global transportation-related CO₂ emissions in 2022, making it the biggest emitter within this sector by far. The United States, together with China and the European Union, were responsible for roughly 42 percent of global transportation sector CO₂ emissions in 2022.
