Italy: firms financed through venture capital funds 2016, by type of investor

This statistic provides information about the number of companies financed through venture capital investments in Italy in 2016, broken down by type of investor. Venture capital is a form of equity financing for start-up companies with a long-term growth potential.
In that year, from a total of 129 companies, 64 of them were financed by venture capitalists. Other 37 firms were funded by business angels, whereas associations between venture capitalists and business angels provided capital to further 28 companies.
