Health care facilities in Peru by type 2021

In 2021, there were approximately 21.6 thousand healthcare facilities in Peru. As of that date, the South American country had a total of 591 hospitals, 2,717 healthcare centers, and more than nine thousand physicians and health professional practice facilities, including odontology centers. Compared to 2020, the total number of healthcare facilities decreased in Peru. Moreover, as of 2021, about 39.6 percent of inhabitants in the Latin American county reported having chronic health issues.
