YoY percentage change in the number of SMEs in Italy 2008-2019
This statistic provides information about the year-on-year percentage change in the number of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Italy from 2008 to 2019. Since 2010, the number of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Italy has steadily decreased. By the end of 2012, almost eight percent of the total SMEs in Italy ceased to operate. In the following years, the ratio of SMEs that went bankrupt decreased and by the end of 2019 an estimated positive percentage change was recorded (around 0.7 percent).
