This statistic presents the results of a survey conducted in Italy as of 2016 among the parents of the the so-called Post-Millennials- teenagers aged between 12 and 18 years at that time. During the survey, parents were asked to indicate the main challenges they encounter while trying to teach their children about money. According to data, 26 percent of the interviewed parents stated that the main challenge is to teach their children how to control their wishes and overcome the buying impulse and relative frustration when certain items cannot be purchased. Other 12 percent of respondents claimed it is difficult to explain the economic crisis and its impact on the family's finances.
