This statistic shows the number of hypermarkets in Belgium from 2006 to 2016. As can be seen, the number of hypermarkets roughly stayed the same throughout the years. As of 2006, the total number of hypermarkets amounted to roughly 580. This increased to nearly 610 hypermarkets in 2014. As of 2016, this number fell back to approximately 600.
