Value of remittances received in Indonesia 2010-2022
The personal remittances received in Indonesia increased by 0.6 billion U.S. dollars (+6.38 percent) in 2022 in comparison to the previous year. In total, the personal remittances received amounted to 9.96 billion U.S. dollars in 2022. This increase was preceded by declining personal remittances received.
Personal remittances comprise personal transfers and compensation of employees. Personal transfers include all current transfers between resident and nonresident individuals, while the compensation of employees refers to the income of employees who are employed in an economy where they are not resident, as well as of resident employees employed by nonresident entities.
