The statistic displays the results of a survey of technologies implemented or planned by retailers for physical stores in Belgium in 2018. As part of the survey, retailers were asked to indicate which technologies they had implemented or planned to implement for their physical store. The survey outcomes indicate that retailers considered mobile payment methods and self-scan registers to be the most indispensible technologies for physical retail outlets. As of 2018, over 30 percent of retailers in Belgium had implemented or planned to use mobile payment methods in their stores, while one quarter of the respondents were not using or planning to implement any of the technologies listed.
