Between 2020 and 2021, about one out of five Italian adults declared to have received an hypertension diagnosis from their doctors. This statistic highlights regional differences in this figure. As of the survey period, Calabria was the region with the highest prevalence of hypertension, with 23 percent of individuals reporting to suffer from high blood pressure.
