Between 2021 and 2022, about one out of five Italian adults declared to have received an hypertension diagnosis from their doctors. This statistic highlights regional differences in this figure. As of the survey period, Calabria was the region with the highest prevalence of hypertension, with almost 23 percent of individuals reporting to suffer from high blood pressure.
