Colombia: share of homicides 2018, by area

In 2018, around seven out of ten homicides in Colombia took place in municipal seats. Meanwhile, nearly 24.5 percent of the murders occurred in rural areas and approximately 5.3 percent of them took place in smaller, remote urban areas.

Furthermore, most of assassinations in Colombia occurred in public spaces during 2018.
