AIDS-related deaths in Brazil 2010-2020, by gender
The number of AIDS-related deaths in Brazil varies between genders. While in 2020, approximately 7.1 thousand men died from AIDS-related causes in Brazil, about 3.3 thousand women died from the same cause that year. In the second half of the decade analyzed, the amount of AIDS-related deaths decreased for both genders. During the last year depicted, the AIDS death rate in Brazil was estimated at four cases per 100,000 inhabitants, a decrease in comparison to previous years.
