HIV viral load suppression in Brazil 2015-2020
In 2020, the share of HIV-positive population in Brazil who had suppressed viral loads thanks to antiretroviral therapy added up to 66 percent. This shows an increase in comparison to 2015, when 55 percent of the patients with HIV had suppressed viral loads. As of 2020, seven in every ten patients with HIV in Brazil received antiretroviral therapy.
