Deaths caused by AIDS in Spain 2022, by gender and region
In 2022, Catalonia was the autonomous community recording the highest number of men who died from acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) in Spain, where 57 men died as a result of this infectious disease. Andalusia and the Region of Valencia followed, with 41 and 28 AIDS-related casualties, respectively. For women, the largest number of deaths was registered in Andalusia and Catalonia. That year, 303 people in Spain died from AIDS.
