
Deaths caused by AIDS in Spain 2020, by gender and region
The highest number of male deaths in Spain as a result of the acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) in 2020 was recorded in Andalusia, where 64 men died of this infectious disease. The Region of Valencia and the Community of Madrid followed, with 37 deaths each. The largest number for women was registered in Andalusia and Catalonia, in which 20 and 10 women, respectively, died of AIDS. No male deaths were listed in Melilla and Navarre, and no deaths were registered for women in La Rioja and Ceuta that year.
