Deaths caused by AIDS in Spain by gender and region 2017

This statistic displays the number of deaths as a result of AIDS in the Spanish autonomous regions in 2017, broken down by gender. The highest number of male deaths was recorded in Andalusia, where 74 men died of this infectious disease. The largest number for women however was registered in Catalonia, in which 16 women died of AIDS. In contrast, only one male case was listed in Melilla, and no deaths were registered for women in Castile-La Mancha, Ceuta, Cantabria and La Rioja in 2017.
