Number of cardiologists in Brazil 2022

In 2022, the number of licensed cardiologists in Brazil reached around 20.3 thousand professionals, up from about 17.8 thousand doctors registered two years earlier. This figure increased by approximately 76 percent compared to 2013, when the number of physicians specializing in cardiology totaled around 11.57 thousand. Cardiology, a medical specialty focused on diseases affecting the heart and the cardiovascular system, ranked eighth among medical specializations with the most registered doctors in Brazil in 2022.
