Presidential candidate preference amongst Jokowi coalition voters Indonesia 2018

This statistic shows the survey results on how the survey respondents who supported political parties in a coalition with the incumbent presidential candidate Jokowi would vote in the April 2019 Indonesian presidential elections as of December 2018, based on the political party that they support. During the period surveyed, 90.1 percent of survey respondents who supported the PDIP (Partai Demokrasi Indonesia Perjuangan, part of the governing coalition and party of the current president Joko Widodo, or Jokowi) would vote for the incumbent candidate Jokowi and his running mate KH. Ma'ruf Amin. Meanwhile, the pair of Prabowo-Sandi had the most supporters amongst respondents who were supporters of PPP (Partai Persatuan Pembangunan, and Islam-based political party), with 43.2 percent of these respondents stating that they would vote for this pair.

The Indonesian presidential elections 2019

Indonesia's 2019 presidential elections will take place on April 17, 2019, on the same day as the general elections. Incumbent Joko Widodo, popularly known as Jokowi, will be competing against former general Prabowo Subianto, making it essentially a re-match of the 2014 presidential elections, in which Jokowi defeated Prabowo.
