Fifth graders' reading ability in rural Bihar public schools 2008-2022
According to a survey conducted in 2022 about 37.1 percent of fifth graders in rural government schools in Bihar could read third grade text. This was a decrease compared to 2014 when about 44.6 percent children could read third grade text.
