The displayed data on the share of vegans shows results of the Statista Global Consumer Survey conducted in a variety of European countries in 2022. Approximately four percent of respondents in the United Kingdom answered the question "Do you follow one or more of the following nutrition rules?" with "Vegan (not eating any animal products)".

*Depending on the country, the the data shows results from a survey that was carried out in the first quarter of 2022 or aggregates four survey waves for 2022. For the folowing countries the data was ggregated: Austria, France, Finland, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, Russia, Spain, Switzerland, Sweden, and the UK. Respondent numbers are generally over 2,000 respondents.
