This statistic depicts the results of a survey conducted between 1974 and 2017 asking high school students in Japan about their previous dating experiences. In 2017, around 54.2 percent of male and 59.1 percent of female respondents stated to have gone on a date before, representing an increase by over one percent compared to the previous iteration of the survey.
