In 2018, the share of newly registered possible victims of human trafficking in the Netherlands were exploited for sexual services. Close to 75 percent of all people registered by CoMensha in 2018 were victims of sexual exploitation, this marked an increase of ten percent compared to the previous year. Meanwhile, the number of possible trafficking victims who were victims of labour exploitation decreased slightly, by around five percent.
