Growth of horticulture production by type in India 2009-2017
During the fiscal year 2017, there was an increase in the share of production of flowers in India, accounting to approximately over 16 percent as compared to the previous fiscal year. In contrast, that was a year of losses for aromatics with close to 11 percent. Overall, the horticulture in the country saw a spike in growth in fiscal year 2011, specifically for the flower sector.
