The volume of payment orders of clients of credit institutions through the internet across Russia increased steadily over the observed period. Between 2014 and 2017, total payment orders through fell slightly. However, in 2021, the highest level at over 881.6 trillion Russian rubles was recorded. The value of payment orders placed through the internet amounted to roughly 719 trillion Russian rubles in the last observed period.
