Jamaica: homicide rate in Kingston 2006-2016

In 2016, it was estimated that 54 people per 100,000 inhabitants in Kingston, Jamaica were murdered. The homicide rate in the Jamaican capital has risen for the first time in 2016, after having declined since 2013. Still, the latest homicide rate levels are significantly lower than a decade earlier. In 2007, almost 127 homicide victims per 100,000 population were reported, the highest murder rate in the indicated period.
