Latin America & the Caribbean: homicide rates 2019, by country

In 2019, the highest homicide rate was registered in Venezuela, with over 60 murders committed per 100,000 inhabitants. Jamaica came in second, with a homicide rate of 47.4 and Honduras came in third place with a rate of 41.2. In the same year, the lowest rate in Latin America and the Caribbean was in Chile, with a homicide rate of 2.6 per 100,000 inhabitants.
