
Increase in health expenditure for mental health in Canada 2010-2018, by territory
Canadians that perceived their mental health as fair or poor. Recent data suggests that there has also been a fairly substantial increase in public-sector spending for mental health as well. From 2009/2010 to 2017/2018 there was an 87 percent increase in public-sector expenditure on mental health on Prince Edward Island. Likewise, Newfoundland and Labrador had also seen significant increases in spending between those years.
