Unease with customer service staff wearing headscarves in Dutch-speaking Belgium 2019

In 2019, a significant share of people surveyed appeared to be uncomfortable around people wearing headscarves. Close to 45 percent of people surveyed in Dutch-speaking Belgium indicated that they would feel uneasy if the person serving them at a counter was wearing a headscarf, while the share of survey respondents who indicated that they would not feel uneasy was just over 35 percent.
