Mexico: expenditure on meat 2018

According to a household survey carried out in Mexico, poultry meat was the type of meat that had the highest quarterly expenditure in the country in 2018. Quarterly spending on poultry meat amounted to 24.67 billion Mexican pesos. Beef and veal expenditure followed, with 22.98 billion Mexican pesos spent every quarter. A year before, per capita consumption of poultry meat in Mexico, was equal to 28.47 kilograms. In contrast, per capita consumption of beef and veal was equivalent to 8.87 kilograms in 2017.
