Fertility rate in Iceland 2008-2018

Considering the years from 2008 to 2018, the fertility rate in Iceland was slightly decreasing. In 2018, the fertility rate per woman was 1.71 children. These numbers were significantly lower than the global fertility rate. In fact, Europe as a whole had the lowest fertility rates worldwide. Although the numbers for Iceland were quite low, Iceland actually had one of the highest fertility rates in Europe.
