Population of Iceland 2012-2022, by gender

Over the last decade, there were constantly more men than women living in Iceland. Moreover, the gap increased from 2012 to 2022. While there were around 1,000 more men than women in 2012, this number had increased to nearly 10,000 by 2022. That year, there were around 193,000 men and 183,000 women living in Iceland. The total number of inhabitants in the country was 376,248 at the beginning of 2022.
