In an online survey of 2018, about 32 percent of Japanese respondents stated that they felt attracted to companies that supported health and welfare with their activities, making it the most attractive company activity with regards to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Urban planning, the protection of nature and the contribution to economical growth as well as to decent working conditions closely followed, while countermeasures to climate change were not deemed as important. The Sustainable Development Goals are comprised of 17 goals that were set by the United Nations in 2016 as part of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
